At the beginning of autumn, our off-grid toileting got a serious upgrade — our cabin now boasts a state-of-the-art composting loo!

After exploring lots of different models, we found the perfect fit: the WooWoo Separett Villa. It ticked all the boxes for what we wanted from an off-grid toilet — with a built-in separator to make life easier (for us and our glamping guests!) and an automatically rotating solids container that can hold up to 60 poos!

This family-sized toilet really does bring all the comforts of a conventional loo — and more. It has a clever cover that opens when you sit down and closes again afterwards (avoiding any unpleasant sights), plus a super-efficient fan (just 2 watts!) to extract any odours.
